About ISAE

The Indian Society of Agricultural Engineers (ISAE), established in 1960, aims to strengthen the agricultural engineering profession by bringing together professionals across the country on a dynamic and collaborative platform. Over the years, the Society has played a pivotal role in fostering strong linkages between the agriculture sector and industry, while promoting active participation of its members in professional and developmental activities. These efforts have significantly contributed to enhancing agricultural production and post-harvest management systems. Agricultural engineers have made substantial contributions in areas such as farm mechanization and automation, irrigation and drainage, soil and water conservation, watershed management, flood control systems, command area development, and post-harvest engineering. Their expertise also extends to agro-food processing, value addition, agricultural structures, environmental control systems, greenhouse technology, cold storage, and renewable energy applications. In recent years, emerging technologies such as drones, robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain have been integrated into agricultural engineering, enabling innovative solutions to address the challenges of future agriculture and improving farmers' livelihoods.
